“A very nice hotel but the breakfast concept has to be changed.”
I still like the hotel. It was my third stay (always 8 nights). The neighborhood is really nice and the hotel is very clean. Comfortabel beds and employees are really friendly. The NYC ferry makes it very easy to go to Wall Steet pier eleven. But a very bad 2026 decision of the management, to change the breakfast concept. Last years you receievd a nice breakfast: eggs, bacon, … toasts..cheese… ham ..fresh fuit..cookies… As you could read in the reviews, the breakfast room was indeed not a perfect one but the breakfast and the friendly employees made the breakfast a nice one! This year you only reveive a bag ! With a sandwich inside in paper..absolutely not tasty. We took the bag and we put most things in te community fridge of the street and went for breakfast to other places. I really hope that the management takes into account the remarks of a lot of reviews and that the lodge red hook hotel offers again the breakfast of the past as it is not nice (and costly) that you have to go outside for breakfast. Employees told me that it is a budget problem. If needed ask a few USD more!

Great location next to lots of good restaurant. A short walk to cruise terminal. Rooms basic but nice, clean and comfortable
