“A six-day sublime and unforgettable stay at the iconic CHelsea Hotel”
One could only describe our six day stay at the iconic Chelsea Hotel as pure sublime. We were blown away by our Chelsea room on the seventh floor looking out on West 23rd Street with not one, but two double doors adorned in beautiful stain-glass windows out onto the hotel's famous wraught iron balcony, and overlooking her neon sign. Pure charming! THe staff could not have been more welcoming, or done more to look after us. Knowing it was a 25th wedding anniversary treat, the hotel had a bottle of bubbly on ice waiting on table, which was just so sweet! We were bowled over! The room itself was beautifully luxuriously comfortable, and felt more like a home than a hotel bedroom - big marble fireplace, fab bathroom, grande luxurious bed, even a doorbell for the housekeeping staff that saw to our every need in the most subtle way, turning down the bed in the evening and leaving us marcaroon's for our morning breakfast. Brilliant location, so central to either hang midtown, head downtown or subway uptown. In fact it is pretty much a perfect pick to savour all NYC has to offer. When the weather was foul, as it was for a day or two, we cocooned from the Nor'easter blowing outside, in pure bliss in our fab NY home-from-home watching Netflix. We miss you Chelsea Hotel, thank-you, and Arrivederci till we meet again!
