“First and Last Stay at This Property”
Came for a special occasion and the experience fell way way short of the reviews posted. Got blindsided during our stay. Nevertheless, here are the pros and cons: Pros: Location very good Staff very friendly Housekeeping very good Cons: Check in - we were given the wrong category room when we checked in. Called front desk and were told we were given the room we reserved. Advised front desk we have a reservation showing a completely different room and had to go back downstairs with all our luggage to show our reservation. We then had to wait 30 minutes in the lobby for staff to contact the GM who was the only authorized person to give us the room we reserved. Imagine getting off a coast to coast flight and waiting in the lobby for a reserved and paid for room. All we wanted to do was start our vacation. Room - (A) We came to our room one evening around 9:45 pm midway through our stay and found the attached letter on our desk advising water would be turned off for the next two nights for annual maintenance. We couldn’t flush the toilet, wash our hands or shower!!! Awful experience and totally changed our vacation vibe. We had to cancel our plans for that day and reshuffle/cancel various activities planned for the last two days of our stay. Very upsetting. We ran into other guests at the elevator that were upset as well with what was going on. Shocked that no other reviews have been posted. This should have been disclosed at time of reservation or at a minimum at check in. The next evening we were told management canceled the maintenance on the 2nd night. The damage was done!!! (B)We did not have consistent hot water for showers after that. My wife literally took a cold shower the next morning. (C) The banging, sawing and other noise that was going on above our floor related to this “annual maintenance” issue kept us up all night. Btw the water did not come on at 7 am as stated in the notice rather it came on closer to 8 am.
