The Alantara Sanur

Fantastic experience - beautiful rooms, pool, excellent food and very friendly service. Can’t wait to come back again to this luxurious resort!

We stayed at Alantara for five nights. After changing our plans, we spent the first night in a Deluxe Room before moving into a one-bedroom villa. The Deluxe Room was lovely, but the villa is definitely worth the extra money. The villa was spacious and felt wonderfully private, almost as if we were staying in our own secluded retreat, despite being right next to reception. It had a large bedroom, a beautiful bathroom, a separate dressing room and a generous outdoor kitchen with a comfortable living area. Everything came together to create a special place to relax and unwind. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. The spa was also very good and well worth a visit. The food at the hotel was extremely good and reasonably priced, making it a great option for dining without needing to venture out. There are also shops, bars and restaurants nearby, so you have plenty of choice without having to walk into Sanur’s main strip. Although Alantara sits outside the main area of shops and bars, it is still within walking distance. We made the walk a couple of times and found it perfectly manageable. Alternatively, the complimentary shuttle bus runs every couple of hours and is extremely convenient. The only thing worth mentioning is that walking into town involves crossing the bypass, which can feel a little daunting. The locals do not always pay much attention to the pedestrian crossing lights, so you need to take extra care when crossing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alantara. The combination of beautiful accommodation, privacy, excellent staff, lovely food and relaxing surroundings made it a wonderful place to stay in Sanur. We would happily return and would definitely recommend booking a villa if your budget allows.
