Hotel Des Artistes Roma

Mijn kamer was 30 meter naast de hoofdingang. Je krijgt 1 pasje waarmee je de voordeur, de deur op de verdieping en je kamer kan openen. Super efficiënt. De kamer was top. Alles was schoon, heel en werkend! Oude elementen en dat ik vind ik leuk.

Het ontbijt was niet helemaal mijn smaak maar was wel uitgebreid.

Stanza piccola e carissima (quasi 200€ a notte) - colazione di pessima qualità - pompa di calore che erogava solo aria fredda (c’era freddo in stanza) - miscelatore doccia instabile che erogava acqua che diventava bollente e poi di nuovo improvvisamente fredda -

Close to railway station. Clean and comfortable.

The only thing was, there was building work going on outside and as we always sleep with the window open, it got rather noisy.

Wir waren 4 Nächte mit unseren Kindern dort und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Da Rom in dieser Zeit von einer Hitzewelle heimgesucht wurde, haben wir die Klimaanlage sehr zu schätzen gewusst. Unsere Zimmer lagen nah beieinander, es gab glutenfreies Brot zum Frühstück (auf vorherige Anfrage) und abends war es sehr schön, auf der Dachterrasse zu sitzen. Auch die Lage war hervorragend. Zu Fuß oder mit der U-Bahn kam man schnell ans Ziel. In der Nähe befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt (ebenfalls mit glutenfreien Produkten).

The hotel is well-located within a 7 minute walk of Termini, so very convenient for travellers arriving from the airport. The reception staff were fabulous, even noticing when I checked in that it was my wife's birthday and calling the room! Our room (107) was very spacious with great floor tiles, adequate storage and good WiFi. The bathroom was acceptable and water pressure excellent.

The only disappointment was the crowded breakfast area. This is a 6 storey hotel so presumably has 60+ rooms. The breakfast area on the first floor is tiny and comprises 3 rooms with narrow connecting corridors. All the food is concentrated in one room. Depending on the time of day (8 am is the worst), there are throngs of people bumping into one another with food. The space and format is really inadequate for the volume of guests. One option would be to skip breakfast in the hotel and find one of many nearby bars which offer genuine coffee and nice pastries.

Good cleaning service, helpful staff, clean and nice room with good facilities

A bit far out from main attractions and meant a long walk or using the metro. It is very close to Termini station which is useful for this.
